How to Find Your TemplateID

A quick guide on how to locate the unique Template ID for your saved SMS, Email, Voice, and Fax templates in the TNZ Dashboard for API and integration use.

What are Templates?

Templates are pre-written messages that you can save in your TNZ account to reuse for future campaigns and communications. Using templates is a highly efficient way to send frequently used messages such as appointment reminders, marketing promotions, delivery notifications, or emergency alerts.

What is a Template ID?

Every template you save in the TNZ Dashboard is assigned a unique Template ID.

This ID is a numerical identifier used to reference your template when sending messages programmatically via the TNZ API or through a connected third-party application (such as Zapier, Make, or a custom integration). Using a Template ID is more efficient and secure than sending the full message content with every API request.

Finding Your Template ID

Follow these simple steps to locate the ID for any of your saved templates.

  1. Log in to the TNZ Dashboard.

  2. From the main menu on the left, navigate to New Message, then click on a particular message type e.g. 'Send SMS'.

  3. Next, click on the Manage Templates button to see a list of templates.
  4. Locate the template you wish to use and open it. The Template ID is displayed at the top of the page.
