Connect an existing CustomLinc installation to TNZ by using sms.tnz.co.nz as its Email-to-SMS gateway.

Overview

• CustomLinc constructs an email destination from the customer's mobile number and the sms.tnz.co.nz gateway domain.
• TNZ must recognise the address or domain CustomLinc sends from.
• SMS replies are delivered according to the reporting settings of the registered TNZ User.

Set up the integration

1. Identify the email address CustomLinc uses when it sends an email.
2. Register that sender with TNZ. See Adding a new email address for sending.
3. In CustomLinc, open SMS Gateway.
4. Set the SMS gateway email domain to sms.tnz.co.nz.
5. Save the configuration.
6. Send a short test message.

Troubleshooting

TNZ rejects the sender

Compare the actual From address with the TNZ User or domain registered for Email-to-SMS.

The destination is malformed

Check the mobile field and confirm CustomLinc added it before @sms.tnz.co.nz.

The SMS Gateway menu is missing

Ask CustomLinc Support whether your release supports an email-based SMS gateway and where it is configured.
