Why are my emails sending as noreply@demo.tnz.net.nz?

TNZ uses noreply@demo.tnz.net.nz for testing when you have no custom email domain. Configure your own domain before you send live messages.

TNZ sends your emails from noreply@demo.tnz.net.nz when you have no custom email domain configured. This is the default sending address for testing the service.

For testing only

This address is not intended for live messaging. Before you send live messages, configure your own email domain.

Why does TNZ use a demo address?

The demo domain helps your test emails get through so you can review the service. You can test email sending without completing domain setup first.

How to send from your own domain

You need access to your domain's DNS settings. If someone else manages your domain, ask them to help with the changes.

  1. Follow the TNZ Email domain setup guide to add the DNS records for your chosen setup.
  2. After you complete the DNS changes, email support@tnz.co.nz so TNZ can verify and approve your domain.

Complete this process before you use the service for live messaging.

Still seeing the demo address after domain setup?

If you have completed the setup and your emails still show noreply@demo.tnz.net.nz, contact TNZ support. Include the domain you want to send from so the team can check your configuration.
