TFone Manager IP PBX FAQs

Can I have more than one TFone Number on my TFone Manager?
Yes you can. Follow the instructions here:   Adding new TFone Numbers to your TFone Manager

How many extensions can I have on my TFone Manager Standard?
The TFone Manager Standard is limited to 50 extensions. This is what we believe the PBX can handle.
If you would require more than 50 extensions, you need a TFone Manager Pro.

Can I link up two TFone Managers?
Yes, the TFone Manager (Standard or Pro) can be linked together. This can be done by registering the second TFone Manager as an Extension on the first TFone Manager (use the extension login settings to "Add a new TFone Number" on the second TFone Manager).
Otherwise, each TFone Manager can transfer calls between each other free-of-charge as TFone-to-TFone calling is free!

How do I make and receive calls when out of the office?
Hot Desking requires special domain and routing priviledges and should be set up by a competent IT person. An external domain needs to be registered (e.g. tfone.mycompany.com) that links through to the internal TFone Manager address. The DHCP server or router can then link all tfone.mycompany.com requests from the internal network to the internal TFone Manager IP Address as well.

Why won't my VoIP device receive calls from the TFone Manager?
Firsty, ensure your VoIP device has properly registered with the TFone Manager. You can verify this by logging into the admin portal of the TFone Manager web interface and viewing the "Extensions" tab. Next to each extension is an icon under "status". A blue icon means active, a green icon means unregistered.

If you can see the blue icon, your VoIP device may be incorrectly configured. In some softphones and IP Phones, there is an option to "Register with the domain to receive incoming calls". Make sure that this is switched on.

If you can see the green icon, the TFone Manager cannot see your VoIP device. This can be due to an incorrectly entered Extension Username and Password, or your VoIP device may not be SIP capable. SIP is the signalling protocol that controls modern VoIP hardware and services.
