Opt Out Service
With the explosion of e-mail over the years we have seen a huge increase in email spam.
Spam in e-mail started to become a problem when the Internet was opened up to the general public in the mid-1990s. It grew exponentially over the following years, and today comprises some 80 to 85% of all the email in the world, by conservative estimate.
SMS marketing is growing exponentially and is now cautioned with Spam.
TNZ Group provides you the facilities to send email and SMS messages, however you need to comply with the various worldwide spam acts. In NZ we have the "The Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007"
The act covers 'Electronic messages' encompasses emails, instant messaging, SMS, multimedia message services and other mobile phone messaging (but does not include voice or fax).
The TNZ OptOut service provides both you and your customers that ability to Opt Out from receiving messages from you. This saves you having to maintain your lists and manage your own Opt Out system ensuring that you comply with the Act.
Customers can Opt Out from their number receiving faxes and voice casts, email address from receiving email and their mobile from receiving SMS Messages.
TNZ Group work closely with Telecom New Zealand ensuring that any complaints from customers receiving unwanted fax calls are automatically Opt'd Out
The Opt Out service is a free service that we provide to ensure that you comply within the law. Any messages destined to an Opt Out destination will be reported as a Barred Service.
