TSMSIn Service FAQs
What is a Short Code?
A Short Code is a special telephone number accessible only from your mobile phone (unless you
subscribe to the TSMSOut Service). Short Codes are normally between 3 and 5 digits long. All TSMS Short Codes are supplied with a free automated reply message.
What is a "Shared Short Code" with a dedicated keyword?
A "Shared Short Code" means you'll be sharing a Short Code with other
TSMS customers. This is very standard practise in the mobile industry and allows customers with a limited budget to use such a service.
Each customer is set apart by a keyword that must be included at the beginning of each message.
See the Pricing section for examples of a
Shared Short Code layout.
What is Long Code?
A Long Code is an ordinary mobile phone number, normally longer than 10 digits. It is designed to receive SMS messages only.
What is SMS to Email?
SMS-2-Email is one of the most popular delivery methods for the
TSMSIn Service. All SMS messages received to your TSMS Short/Long Code will be delivered to an email address of your choice.
See the
Ways to Receive section for more information.
Do you provide "premium rate" Short Codes?
Sorry, we do not provide premium rate Short Codes due to company policy. Premium Codes can be a great way to collect fees/donations but there is a huge risk of fraud.
